Well-known female DJ, Alisha, has shared exciting personal news on her Instagram, expressing how she has turned to God for her salvation. She revealed that she had reached a point where she felt ashamed of her past actions.
Through her Instagram page, the former nightlife icon shared images of her baptism. She indicated that her baptism symbolizes and serves as a reminder of her new life in Christ, highlighting her gratitude for God’s love and the redemption she has experienced.
It’s important to note that DJ Alisha has been a prominent figure in Kampala’s nightlife scene. Her posts on social media often suggested that she indulged in a high-end, extravagant lifestyle, frequently sharing semi-nude and bikini photos that left many admirers captivated. The Rwandese born DJ was one of the sexiest women in Uganda that gave almost every man sleepless nights.
Reflecting on her renewed faith, Alisha mentioned that she has always been aware of God’s significant and meaningful plan for her life, but she chose to stray from that path and navigate life independently. This deviation led her to become someone who struggled with alcohol and a lustful lifestyle.
Nonetheless, she acknowledged that God never stopped pursuing her and continued to draw her back until she realized that true peace and comfort can only be found in Him. Alisha expressed that there was a moment when she felt deep shame about her choices. During one night alone in her room, she knelt and cried out to God, questioning the direction she had taken.
She admitted that she never expected her 2025 to begin in this way, but she understands that when God calls, one must respond. Furthermore, Alisha stated that she is aware of the challenging journey ahead, yet she is assured that the God who has called her to serve will guide her through.
“I’ve always known that God has called me to do something bigger than myself in the earth but I tried to maneuver life on my own and I failed terribly, living a life of lust and drunkenness betraying myself over and over I lost myself in the world but just as a Great Father God never gave up on me he kept chasing me, I looked for fulfillment everywhere else only to realize that I only find peace and rest in him, he left the 99 to find me Oh God.”
“I was so ashamed of what and who I had become I remember kneeling down in my room and crying out to Him to deliver me from myself and yes he heard me and gave me a new identity in Him, if someone asked me at the beginning of 2025 what my year would look like I don’t think this is what I would’ve said. That’s how powerful The Lord is. When God Calls You, you must answer. It brings tears to my eyes when I think of His Goodness in my life.
I know this journey is not gonna be easy but i know that He that is in me is greater than He that is in the World. Thank You God for showing me Mercy.”
