Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa hails Kahinda Otafiire for empowering women financially

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa has hailed Rtd Maj. Gen. Kahinda Otafiire for spearheading transformation of empowering women.

The Deputy Speaker was over the weekend speaking at the launch of ‘Elevate Her Uganda’ at Ruhinda SS Grounds, Mitooma District after he was invited by Ruhinda MP Rtd Maj Gen Kahinda Otafiire.

This community-driven initiative aims to combat poverty among women and empower them to reach their full potential.

The initiative closely aligns with NRM government’s broader objective of eradicating poverty across the country.

“While government efforts play a vital role, I am particularly grateful to Hon. Kahinda Otafiire for personally spearheading this transformative project. The financial empowerment of women is a key driver of economic growth, not only for families but also for communities at large,” Rt. Thomas Tayebwa said.
