It was a day of celebrations as Counsel Julius Nandeeba launched his long awaited inspiring book titled ‘From Rural Roots To National Impact’: The Discipline of Engineering an unstoppable life on Friday evening at Kisakye Hall, Silver Springs Hotel Bugolobi.
Speaking at the launch, Counsel Julius Nandeeba, an advocate, certified Accountant and Tax administrator shared his difficult childhood life story, an emotional one that got the audience shed tears. He said the book is not because he wants to make money but to share the message with every person who dares to build an unstoppable life despite their background.
At the age of 5, he lost his mother and this was not the only tragedy as at the age of 14, his father also passed on. The world became a box for him as the child who was attending first world school was now hopeless of how life would move on. He actually attempted to commit suicide but he was rescued by his Aunt who eventually left her marriage to look after Julius Nandeeba and his siblings. “She rushed and pulled me out of the room after she was tipped up that i had bought cow tick medicine and rocked myself inside the room. That moment changed everything,” he said.
But as he grew up, he remembered the last words his dad told him hours before his demise. His said to him,” Julius you are destined to succeed if you stay in school and remain well disciplined” and as they say, the rest is history.
It is his dad’s last message to him that has inspired him to work hard, remain disciplined and also led him to publish this book for the people out there especially students that all is not lost when they are still breathing.
He told the audience especially students that there is always a way to success if you stay in school and remain well disciplined. That there is always hope even when things look hopeless.
His story is an inspiring one especially to the students out there who don’t even know where their next fees would come from. It is a book that tells you all is not lost despite your background and one day, you will make it. He sent special thanks to his aunt, his Wife and his workmates at Uganda Revenue Authority.
