Following President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s directive to Finance State Minister Hon Evelyn Anite to audit Uganda Telecom, the minister has acted.
The Minister has today appointed Dr. Akonye Fixon to fix Uganda Telecom.
“Arising from H.E the President’s letter ref.PO/10 July, 2019 addressed to me, to institute an audit of UTL activities. I am accordingly directing Dr. Akonye Fixon to conduct an internal audit of UTL, activities and evaluate the state of affairs within a period of one month from the date of receipt of this letter. Please ensure the internal audit is comprehensive enough to confirm or clear allegations before H.E the President,” Anite said .
