The three prime suspects in the murder of Kenneth Akena have today been charged with murder. The three Mathew Kanyamunyu, his girlfriend Cynthia Munwangari and Joseph Kanyamunyu appeared in court over the shooting of Kenneth Akena at Lugogo Mall on November 12th this year. The trio was not allowed to enter into a plea to this grave offence which is only triable by the High Court and will appear in Nakawa court on again on 6th December.

Kenneth Akena, a social worker with a local non-governmental organisation, was shot in the stomach after he reportedly knocked Mathew’s car. He died on Sunday November 13th at Norvik Hospital on Bombo Road, Kampala.
