Bitature calls for extensive transport infrastructure development in Uganda

Kampala businessman Patrick Bitature has said there is a lot to be done in Uganda’s transport infrastructure. The property mogul sighted an example of China during his recent trip where he was mesmerized and excited by the road infrastructure deep in the country side where one can drive 300kms per hour on the properly paved roads.

He said travel and new experiences make a person reflect on regular life at home adding that there is a lot to be done on Uganda’s transport infrastructure.

The tycoon called on the authorities especially in Uganda to use their travel experiences and develop their home countries.

“During a recent business trip to China, I was shocked to find properly paved roads and first class infrastructure deep in the countryside, hundreds of kilometers away from the capital, Beijing.

I rode the high-speed railway out of Beijing doing more than 300 kilometers per hour and truly I have never been on anything like it anywhere in the world. Travel and new experiences make a person reflect on regular life at home. There’s a lot to be done on our transport infrastructure back in Uganda,” Patrick Bitature said.
