On Saturday 8th, thousands of coffee and motor rally lovers thronged Africa Coffee Park in Rwashamaire in Ntungamo District for the inaugural AutoCross 4 Ntungamo Rally. Thousands of locals, Motorsport fans were thrilled at the coffee park as Tourism and coffee mixed up.
The event hosted by Mbarara Motor Club through Federation of Motorsport Uganda (FMU) saw thousands of fans thrilled at seeing rally drivers maneuvering coffee plantations at the coffee Beach on the shores of Lake Nyabihoko.
It was an exciting event marketing what the Pearl of Africa has to offer in terms of coffee and tourism.
The African Coffee Park at Rwashamaire, Ntungamo District has the production facilities, hotels, sports facilities and a 1.5km runway for aircraft. Then,10kms away, there is a coffee plantation, planned tourist resort besides Lake Nyabihoko.
The AutoCross 4 Ntungamo was sponsored by Inspire Africa Coffee Cold brew drink whose in charge is Dr. Nelson Tugume.
Dr. Nelson Tugume wants to see Uganda export already made coffee instead of sacks to be able to earn more from coffee.
