Hundreds of revelers turned Lugogo Hockey Grounds into a loud and colourful celebration of nostalgic music, and endless dancing during ‘The Reminisce Kampala’ edition sponsored by Stanbic Bank’s FlexiPay.
Hosted by Timothy Code, the event brought together lovers of classic Ugandan and international music for an afternoon and evening of hits that triggered treasured memories.
Speaking at the festival, Jackie Abwol, FlexiPay Marketing Manager said the bank’s continued partnership with The Reminisce reflects its commitment to creating meaningful lifestyle experiences for customers.
“We have supported The Reminisce over the years, because it is an event that resonates strongly with our clients. Our presence during experiences like these is in line with our purpose, ‘Uganda is our home, we drive her growth.’ We shall continue supporting events like these, because they give us an opportunity to appreciate our clients while making their lives easier through seamless digital payments, from ticketing and merchandise purchases to food, drinks, and other transactions,” Abwol said.
The entertainment lineup featured DJ Bryan, DJ Moze, Crysto the Deejay, DJ Kask, and Paul Kato, who kept the crowd on its feet from the 3:00 p.m. kickoff. MC Casmir of Next Radio opened the proceedings and set the tone with a high-energy millennial-themed session featuring hits from August Alsina, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, R. Kelly, Usher, and Nicki Minaj, among others. Timothy Code later took over the mixing set and switched to a more nostalgic note, through the 1980s and 1990s, and together with Crysto, transporting the audience across decades of timeless classics.
By 8:30 p.m., the playlist had shifted seamlessly between local and international favourites, with crowd anthems such as Goodlyfe’s Mr. DJ, Bobi Wine’s Singa, Madox Ssematimba’s Namagembe, and Lillian Mbabazi’s Dagala sparking loud sing-alongs and keeping revellers dancing well into the night.
This year’s edition marked a significant milestone for The Reminisce Kampala, with Lugogo Hockey Grounds becoming the event’s new home after the audience outgrew its previous venue at Kati Kati Grounds. The larger venue, expanded seating, improved circulation areas, and enhanced vendor zones created a more comfortable and immersive festival experience.
One of the day’s biggest highlights was the FlexiPay Happy Hour, during which drinks and snacks were offered at half price across all service points. The promotion drove significant activity at vendor stations and encouraged widespread use of digital payments throughout the event.

At 9:45 p.m., DJ Moze took over the stage, lifting the atmosphere even further as the crowd responded with renewed energy and enthusiasm. As the music echoed across Lugogo late into the night, The Reminisce Kampala once again proved that nostalgia remains one of the city’s most powerful entertainment currencies, with thousands of revelers reliving timeless memories through music, culture, and a digitally powered festival experience.
