ADDOA petitions speaker of Parliament over attempted hijack of AHPC mandate by NDA

The Allied Drug Dispensary Owner’s Association (ADDOA) has petitioned the Speaker of Parliament over attempted hijack of Allied health professionals Council(AHPC) mandate as provided for under Allied health professionals Act, Cap 296 by the National Drug Authority (NDA) using the new act (NDHPA 2026) in disguise of editing.

ADDOA further presented evidence for ongoing illegality by NDA( NDA search forms left behind at raided drugs shops, AHPC drug shop licenses, Annual practicing licenses of supervisors of drug shops).

Ongoing cases of theft of drugs, threatening violence, assault (police reference numbers, summon through the Director Inspectorate NDA, and arrest warrant for a one Mulindwa Kudra, an NDA drug inspector)

And a letter to the IGP seeking to meet the IGP on matters of police aiding NDA Inspectors to carry out illegal operations in AHPC licensed drug shops.
