2026 Updates: What you need to know about J’abwor Simon Thiangmoe, the man who wants Labwor County Constituency seat come 2026

Mr. J’abwor Simon Thiangmoe has announced his plans to contest for Member of Parliament for Labwor County Constituency in Abim District come 2026.

Simon hails from Kawang Cell Kawang Parish Alerek Town Council in Abim District Karamoja Region.

He completed his primary school from Alerek Primary School in 2004, O level in 2008 from Shanamu Bombo High School, A level in 2010 from Bombo SSS and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Finance from Ndejje University and later a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Kampala International University (KIU).

He is the founder of the following initiatives;

Ethur United Football Club, Alerek Town Council in Abim District.

Radio Dwon Ethur Community Radio Alerek Town Council

Ethur Community Development Association (ECDA) that aimed at advocating for unity, peace, reconciliation and development in Abim District. However, it was replaced with Abim Patriotic Corps (APC) that aims at bringing change in Abim District politically, socially in Abim District.

Simon, therefore says after thorough consultations from the religious leaders, elders, relatives and friends, they all summarized by saying it’s the right time he should seek for a political office of a Member of Parliament to rescue Abim motherland from prolonged uncountable sufferings due to wrong aged leaders elected to the office to address the problems facing the people but instead they end up addressing their own problems, their families and friends.

He is coming under Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) spearheaded by Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
