The forthcoming 2026 General Elections is turning Politician left, right and centre and we are here to give you all the updates.
Eng. Khaemba Stephen has officially announced that he will be contesting for the Member of Parliament (MP) I for Bubulo East Constituency in Namisindwa District.
His team is already on the ground doing the behind the scene work and mobilizing for support ahead of the battle. We caught up with him on some issues;

What makes Khaemba Stephen fit for the Member of Parliament position?
He says as a person, he feels very capable of reliable service for the people of Bubulo East constituency, Namisindwa District and Uganda at large as proven through his diligent service in the sector where he had been working.

What Khaemba Stephen promises to the people of Bubulo East constituency
Khaemba Stephen: I do not want to exaggerate the promises to my people, but first, I will diligently represent their ideas with integrity. I will struggle so much to make sure that we receive sufficient allocation of resources to us by government, utilize it effectively especially road maintenance, agricultural services and incentives, health services and education. I will lobby for as much from the government for the development of our constituency and its people. I will as well involve my community in the value of desisting from activities that encourage climate change like cutting down trees as it directly affects food security which is a basic need for our lives.

I shall be a reliable link of my people to the whole country and the world at large, lobbying for development of our constituency/district and country. Following up on service delivery from the local government to put down corruption, unreliable human resource and always motivate by encouraging those that are trying their best to deliver.
What inspired you to stand for the member of Parliament Bubulo East constituency?
Khaemba Stephen: As a youth, I had to make sure I get involved in the leadership of our time as the issues that are pushed forward directly affects our generation. To fill the current vacuum of leadership in our area that has been scandalous and have not represented us well.
My contestation comes after my reflection on the need to participate in the leadership of our time especially our community where I hope to influence the people especially the youth to embrace work and community good morals as there is a vacuum now.
This is because many youths are influenced by their leaders in their choices of style and ambition, so I hope that I become a good example to look up to.
It is another opportunity for the country to tap into my knowledgeability in industrial and manufacturing processes as it’s the current drive of the government to create jobs especially for the youths. So I have thought it wise to show up and support the government where need be to make sure we make discrete decisions to improve on the livelihoods of more young people.
