As the 2025 NRM primaries approach, Ms Mafabi Asha Nabulo has called upon the people of Sironko, party leaders, and all stakeholders to entrust her once again with the mandate to represent their voices, priorities, and dreams on the national stage as the NRM flag bearer for Sironko District Woman MP seat come 2026.
Hon. Mafabi Asha Nabulo on June 2nd 2025 officially expressed her interest to contest as the NRM Woman Representative Flag Bearer for Sironko District in the upcoming NRM primaries scheduled for 16th July 2025 by picking up nomination forms.
Asha who is a proud daughter of Sironko hailing from Buyobo Sub County, Bulambuli Parish, Bulumolo Village has earned her place as a devoted mobilizer, servant leader, and community builder. Her decision to once again contest under the NRM ticket comes after a term filled with hands-on leadership and transformative grassroots engagement.

Hon. Asha Nabulo currently serves as the NRM Flag Bearer (2021–2025) for the Woman MP seat in Sironko District. Her tenure has been marked by tireless efforts to improve lives across the district particularly among women, youth, and the elderly. She has championed various initiatives, including:
Youth empowerment programs in tailoring, agribusiness, and vocational skills development.
Provision of clean water through boreholes and water harvesting tanks across schools and communities.
Educational infrastructure development, including successful lobbying for dormitory construction after the 2023 Elgon Primary School fire.
Support for widows and vulnerable households, especially through the distribution of goats and income generating resources.
Access to healthcare, such as facilitating free cataract surgeries for the elderly.
Asha’s track record echoes the foundational principles of the National Resistance Movement (NRM): patriotism, service, unity, and socio-economic transformation.

“This expression of interest is born out of a sincere commitment to deepen my service to the people of Sironko and Uganda at large,” she stated. “The Parliamentary platform offers an avenue to continue advocating for inclusive policies, equitable resource distribution, and the advancement of marginalized groups, especially women and youth.”
She further reiterated her loyalty to the NRM, pledging to carry its flag once more with “dignity, discipline, and purpose.”
Asha is currently in the ground mobilizing for support ahead of the polls.
