Blu 3, Joshua Baraka To Bring Life At Blankets & Wine This September

Blu3 and Joshua Baraka are set to headline the 2024 edition of Blankets and Wine, scheduled for September 29 at the Lugogo Grounds in Kampala.

The duo will be joined by a diverse lineup of both local and international artists, including Andereya Baguma, Karun, Sun El Musician x Simmy, Mootownoh, and Kivumbi King, offering fans an eclectic mix of musical talent.

This year’s event promises a fusion of international and local music, with a variety of experiences including fashion, food, family-friendly activities, and craft markets. Revelers can expect an exciting and immersive evening, with two stages designed to cater to different musical tastes and vibes.

The main stage, aptly named ‘Blankets,’ will feature live performances from headliners and other top-tier artists, while the second stage, ‘Onja Onja,’ will showcase DJ sets from talents like Etania, Flo Moon, R3ign Drops, Masaka Masaka, and That Guy Em.

Afsa Umutesi, the lead producer for the Kampala event, expressed excitement about hosting such a vibrant lineup of performers. “We are thrilled to bring both legends and emerging stars together, offering something for every music lover,” she said. She also highlighted that Blankets and Wine aims to create an unforgettable festival atmosphere right in the heart of the city.

Justine Mbugua, the festival director, emphasized the difference between a typical concert and Blankets and Wine, describing the event as a multi-faceted festival experience. “It’s more than just music; it’s a celebration of art, culture, and community. Our goal is to create a shared experience that goes beyond the performances,” Mbugua noted.
