Apple Music today announced Tanzanian gospel singer and songwriter
Moses Luka as the latest artist to be featured in its Up Next artist development program in East Africa.

“I’m truly honored to be selected for the Apple Music Up Next East Africa campaign. This moment represents not just my personal journey, but the sound and spirit of a new generation of East African artists ready to share their stories with the world,” Moses Luka tells Apple Music.

“In 2026, my fans can expect music that is deeper, more soulful, intentional, and globally resonant while still rooted in faith, culture, and authenticity. I’m committed to pushing creative boundaries, building meaningful connections alongside my team.”

Born and raised in Tanzania, Moses Luka first rose to national prominence after winning Bongo Star Search 2025, one of the country’s most influential music talent competitions. Following this milestone, he made a deliberate transition into gospel music, signing to OSPO Music Group and dedicating his artistry to ministry through songs rooted in faith, purpose and spiritual truth.

His debut EP, MOSES LUKA, marks a defining moment in his journey,
blending contemporary gospel with rich African musical elements to create a deeply emotional and uplifting listening experience.

Anchored in themes of hope, gratitude, perseverance and trust in God, the project reflects his personal faith journey while showcasing his growth as both a vocalist and storyteller.
