Abba Marcus Mayanja, Dr Jose Chameleone’s son has continued to expose his father this time calling him an abuser. Earlier this week, the young man shocked the nation when he publicly revealed his father’s medical struggles and the cause which he said is repeated alcohol abuse.
Through Facebook, Abba now revealed what led to his parents’ separation. He said that what many people don’t know is that their marriage ended because of Daniella survived domestic abuse.
He detailed how she endured physical psychological and emotional abuse for many years. The situation was made worse after Chameleone’s family enabled this situation making it difficult for his mother.
“Today, I want to talk about something that’s deeply personal and important: my parents’ separation. What many people don’t know is that their marriage ended because my mom survived domestic violence.
For years, she endured physical, emotional, and psychological abuse. The scars ran deep, and the pain was unbearable. But what’s even more heartbreaking is that my dad’s family never accepted my mom, making the situation even more unbearable,” he partly wrote.
Abba further wrote that domestic violence is never the fault of the survivors. Besides, it doesn’t happen because the victim is weak or flawed. It’s because they are trapped in a toxic relationship with someone who chooses to abuse their power.
Additionally, he revealed how he’s proud of his mom because of her strength, resilience and courage which are inspirational. He also said that she deserves to be loved, respected and cherished.
Furthermore, he told all those who are going through the same situation that they are not alone. There are people who care, who want to help and believe in their stories. He implored them to reach out for help and fight for their freedom. Abba also asked everyone to break the silence about this vice, hold the abusers accountable and create a world where love is never source of pain.
