Hon. Lillian Aber has today been sworn in as the new District Woman MP for Kitgum District in the 12th Parliament. This marks her second term in a row representing Kitgum District. After swearing in, she assured the people of Kitgum of her renewed commitment to serve them with dedication, integrity, and unwavering focus on improving their livelihoods especially women, youth, and vulnerable communities under the leadership and vision of the NRM Government.

She appreciated the people of Kitgum District, her family and friends and asked them to join her and they work together. Below is her full statement after swearing in;
“Today, in the company of my mother, I had the honour and privilege of being sworn in as the Woman Member of Parliament for Kitgum District in the 12th Parliament of Uganda. I am deeply humbled by the trust and confidence the people of Kitgum have placed in me to represent their voices and aspirations.
This moment is not only a personal milestone but also a renewed commitment to serve with dedication, integrity, and unwavering focus on improving the livelihoods of our people, especially women, youth, and vulnerable communities under the leadership and vision of the NRM Government.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Kitgum District, our leaders, supporters, family, and friends who have stood with me throughout this journey. Your encouragement and belief continue to inspire me to work harder for the development and transformation of our district.
As we begin this new chapter, I look forward to working together with fellow leaders and all stakeholders to advance peace, service delivery, and sustainable development for our people and our nation. I also thank H.E President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and Parliament of Uganda,” Hon. Lillian Aber.
