Vinka & Fik Fameica to thrill revellers at 2025 MUBS Cultural Gala
Musicians Vinka and Fik Fameica are poised to entertain partygoers at the 2025 Cultural Gala at Makerere University Business School (MUBS).
This announcement was made during a press conference held today, April 1st, at the ADB Theatre of the University.
Under the theme “Rooted in Tradition and Grooming Towards Sustainability,” this year’s gala is expected to be unique and grand. This excitement stems from the MUBS Ministry of Social Affairs and Entertainment’s decision to collaborate with Coca-Cola, Uganda’s largest beverage company.

At the press gathering, Macklean Kukundakwe, the Country Manager of Trade and Marketing for Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda, expressed that the brand aims to create a memorable experience for the Gen Z population—who predominantly attend the University. She emphasized that this magic will unfold on April 4, 2025, at the main playground of MUBS.
Kukundakwe encouraged all attendees to invite their friends, stating that the gala is open to the general public, not just the MUBS community. She further highlighted that Coca-Cola is committed to sustainability and cultural promotion, which is why they chose to partner with the MUBS Guild Executive to organize this event.

“This event is free, but since it is taking place at a university, we do expect a larger turnout from the student population. However, anyone interested in joining us is warmly welcomed to come and enjoy Coca-Cola,” Ms. Kukundakwe emphasized.

The outgoing Guild President, Amanya Moses, expressed gratitude to Coca-Cola for their partnership in making this event possible. He mentioned that this is a first of its kind, and Coca-Cola’s involvement will undoubtedly make it unforgettable.
In addition to the performances by these two popular musicians, there will be a plethora of other activities. Given that it is a cultural gala, students from various cultural backgrounds will have the opportunity to showcase their traditions. Performances will also be featured from some emerging artists from the University, all made possible by Coca-Cola, which has played a significant role in Uganda’s entertainment scene over the years.

Moreover, there will be prizes available, courtesy of Coca-Cola. The event is set to run from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Ms. Kukundakwe also encouraged the Ugandan community attending the MUBS event to show up with positive energy, highlighting that they must demonstrate why Uganda is the leading destination for enjoyment in East Africa.

So mark your calendars for this event—everyone is invited, and skipping it should not even be considered.
