Uganda’s king of Jazz, Isaiah Katumwa is wasting no time in spicing up 2026, musically we can reveal. After season of reflection, Katumwa one of Africa’s pioneering smooth jazz voices is back with a bang as he confirms upcoming of his new single titled ‘New Days’, a project that signals a continued creative phase spanning decades ago.

Speaking about the new project with this website, the legend jazz maestro described the upcoming release as a deeply intentional body of work, shaped by time, silence and rediscovery.
“New Days is more than a song , it is a declaration,” he said. “Carried by warm saxophone melodies that rise and settle like a steady breath, the track unfolds over rich harmonies and an optimistic groove that leans gently into the listener. Each note feels measured, unhurried, allowing the music to speak with clarity and emotional depth,” he said.


New Days is a sound that reflects Katumwa’s signature style, smooth yet soulful, refined yet intimate—while opening space for reflection on renewal, faith and forward movement.
