Mbarara City Woman MP Hon. Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda this afternoon joined fellow Member of Parliament Hon. Ruth Rujoki Mushabe during the final send-off of her mother, Lay Canon Verinah Rujoki.
Lay Canon Verinah Rujoki died peacefully in her sleep on October 26, 2026, at her home in Kacumbiro, Rushere, Nyabushozi County, Kiruhura District. She was 85.
Thousands of mourners gathered today at Kacumbiro for her final journey. Among them was Hon. Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda, who described Lay Canon Verinah as a hardworking woman and a pillar of the family who will be dearly missed.
She was the mother of Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Commissioner General John Musinguzi Rujoki and Kiruhura District Woman MP Hon. Ruth Rujoki Mushabe.
