New Sironko District Woman MP Hon. Mafabi Asha Nabulo has been sworn in to represent the people of Sironko in the 12th Parliament.

Speaking to journalists shortly after taking oath, Hon. Mafabi thanked the people of Sironko for entrusting her with the responsibility of representing them in Parliament.

“I sincerely thank the people of Sironko District for the trust and confidence they placed in me. This is a responsibility I will serve with commitment and dedication,” she said.
The legislator reaffirmed her commitment to addressing key challenges affecting residents, particularly women, youth, and vulnerable groups across the district.

She has prioritised the concerns of Sironko residents and has promised to effectively presented them all at the national level.

“I will work tirelessly to ensure the voices of our people are heard and their concerns addressed at the national level,” she added.

She further pledged to champion affirmative action initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods, strengthening community empowerment, and promoting inclusive development throughout the district.

Hon. Mafabi also declared support for government development programmes underYoweri Kaguta Museveni’s “Kisanja No Sleep No Corruption’ agenda, which focuses on wealth creation, improved service delivery, and socio-economic transformation.

The swearing-in exercise for other elected legislators is expected to end this Friday before the 12th Parliament fully transitions into regular legislative business next week with elections of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
