Water body The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has continued its effort to extend clean and safe water to every Ugandan with several ongoing water works. NWSC has a target of making clean and safe water to every individual within its areas of operation by 2018.

“We are laying 10kms of water mains to extend safe water and serve our people in Wakiso-Naama, Kigalama, Myanzi and the surrounding areas. We believe in safe water for all in all our areas of operation by 2018,” NWSC posted.

In Gulu, NWSC team is sensitising people in Unyama where is extending its services soon. “We are extending safe water to serve our people of Unyama area. Every day, our engineers are laying pipes km by km, from town to town. We believe in safe water for all in all our areas of operation,” NWSC posted.

On Tuesday, NWSC commissioned a Public stand pipe in Jinja-Bujuuta, Nyenga Buikwe district to serve over 700 residents in the area.

“We are laying main extensions to serve our people in Lwanda and Isukwe communities along Jinja-Kamuli Road. Every day, our engineers are laying pipes km by km, from town to town. We believe in safe water for all in all our areas of operation by 2018,”NWSC posted.


National Water and Sewerage Corporation is also constructing a 600,000 litres reservoir on Lugoba hill to help stabilize supply in Kazo,Jinja Karoli, Kawempe, Nabweru and the surrounding areas.
The water body’s dream is to achieve water for all in all its areas of operation by 2018.
