Kawempe North Parliamentary race is heating up with independent candidate Hajjat Hanifah Karadi gaining more ground and popularity. But as the voting day gets closer, opponents especially those of the ruling NRM party led by one top security personnel identified as Emma Kuteesa have started destroying and removing posters of Independent candidate Hajjat Hanifah Karadi as part of their ways to sabotage her thriving campaign. It is said that Emma with his team moves around at night with a drone and pickup.
Supporters of Hanifah have vowed to retaliate by punishing those who will be got destroying her posters. They have threatened to lynch them.
Emma has also been accused intimidating Karadi’s supporters he is going to arrest them.
This beef comes after Hajjat Hanifah was controversially refused NRM flag bearer position in favour of Nambi Faridah who is struggling to convince voters.
Hanifah Karadi has also accused her ex husband Major Moses Kashoma of political sabotage. He worked hard to make sure she is denied NRM party flag bearer ticket. He is interfering in her political career and she is not happy with him.
Many Kawempe North residents have decided to go neutral and vote Hanifah because of her convincing manifesto. She has been nicknamed Maama Kawempe.
