Arra Fishing Lodge originally founded by Austrians; Martin Richner and the Horst Piker family in 1998 has been restored, refurbished and upgraded in to a comfortable High End Luxury facility, an unparalleled hospitality, serenity and tranquility.
Located 450 kilometers from Kampala in adjumani district on a peninsula on to the albert Nile in Omi village near the Laropi Ferry crossing connecting Moyo and Adjumani.

The lodge is a pioneer tourist establishment promoting the development of tourism in the unexplored and unexploited West Nile destination and Madi land.
West Nile is known for the Albert Nile a 230 kilometer navigable section of the nile with unlimited potential for marine tourism, the White Rhino in Ajai Game Reserve where former US President Rosevelt & British Prime Minister Churchill have gone hunting in the early nineteen hundreds and the home of former Ugandan President Idi Amin.

The Omi peninsula where the lodge is located is the true African Wilderness with unspoiled Savana woodland, uniquely arranged rocky landscape colonized by colorful butterflies, several wetland and forest birds, reptiles and monkeys living harmoniously in a well preserved ecosystem.
The western lagoon presents a breathtaking water view and spectacular sunset with a river reflection image famously described as the sun kissing the nile water by sunset chasers.

The main activity of the Lodge is Marine tourism with beautiful luxurious 25 seater boat for water cruises and sightseeing, hippos and monkey watching, visits to islands and for experiences with the fishing communities and their lifestyles.
Sports fishing in custom built boats facilitated by well experienced guides and fun activities like water skiing, water bikes and soon to be introduced is a floating restaurant.
The second unique offering of the destination is bird watching featuring shoebill tracking and other wetland/water birds watching and upland/forest birds watching.
Additionally there are great outdoor adventure activities including hiking the Otce mountain and Nature walk while birding in Zoka forest.

The outdoor and community immersion activities are complimented and facilitated by mountain bike cycling, off-road hill drives, quad biking through the communities while interacting with the population and sports motorcycles rides.
For those seeking a relaxing and rejuvenating retreat, the lodge is fitted with a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, sauna & steam, gym and massage parlor.
The cuisine is all encompassing from continental, Asian and local by well experienced chefs and it accommodates dietary advice & customization relished while being entertained by cultural performances.
Guests have options of per taking their meals as a sundowner by the beach, while watching the sunrise, a bush setting, at the pool side, guest cottage balcony, by our campfire and in our cozy restaurant.
The over 30 acre estate also features poultry, fish farms, horticulture and animal farm to freshly and organically produce guest food to achieve the concept of garden/farm to kitchen/table/plate and to accord guest farming experience.
The lodge is also developing a madi museum and information center for local cultural & historical education and a curio shop for souvenirs and essentials.
For boarding guests have options of spacious family cottages, suites and tents fully fitted without wifi, AC, kitchenette, private bar and washrooms featuring outdoor showers.
In the spirit of conservation and eco tourism, the architectural work and building placements took care of minimal alterations of landscape and nature while affording privacy for guests, shade, accessibility and visibility.

The lodge can offer a full one to two week tourist itinerary service package but is a great addition to the murchison and Kidepo park circuit providing tourist a new unique off track experience in an unfolded track.
Connection and transfer time through Gulu City from both Kidepo and Murchison by car is 4 hours.
Exciting connection from Murchison is available by a day long boat trip on the Albert Nile

The lodge also organizes tours across the border taking tourists to south sudan with our collaborators to Nimule Park which is part of the great elephant migration route connecting Kidepo and murchison parks. Next to Nimule park is the fulla falls viewing with a level 5 white water rafting capacity.
