    Besigye is not the leader Uganda wants – Salim Angoliga

    Former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) boss Salim M Angoliga has hit at his former boss Kizza Besigye calling him selfish because of his personal interests.

    Addressing a Press Conference on Friday at Speke Hotel Kampala, Angoliga denounced Besigye and vowed to go independent in next year’s presidential elections. “He is Selfish and on a revenge Mission, I therefore denounce him,”Salim said.

    The former FDC head of Security said Col Dr Kizza Besigye is a Selfish and vindictive leader, who thinks he is the only one meant to lead the Opposition.

    Angoliga told journalists at Speke Hotel that Besigye sees himself as the only man who can lead the Opposition which he said is a wrong attitude for a person preaching change.  [adrotate banner=”3″]

    The former spy chief refuted allegations that he is broke and that he is making moves to cross over to NRM.

    “I am not joining government as some are alleging but I will not support Besigye or Mbabazi, I will go independent. Besigye has betrayed the people of Northern and Eastern Uganda who have massively supported him all these years, he is not the man to rescue us,” Salim told journalist.

    Kampala Woman MP Nabilah Naggayi Sempala seems to have lost trust in the government and opposition leaders. The Member of Parliament who is apparently a member of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) said voters have grown weary of threadbare recitations common to both opposition and NRM government.

    She said the country needs solutions based on hard evidence not ideological correctness. The legislator expressed her points while posting on her Facebook page today. Below is her statement on the matter of the national importance;

    Nabilah Naggayi Sempala, “With the 2016 national campaigns approaching, my fervent hope is that voters have grown weary of the threadbare recitations common to both opposition and NRM. They should instead demand pragmatic, creative and courageous approaches that bypass the tiresome populist slogans. This campaign will be wasted if voters continue to hear about the dreary social issues and the virtues of never, never raising taxes, and about candidates “who will fight for people like you.” Oh, please!  [adrotate banner=”3″]

    We yearn for an agenda that matches the country’s and Kampala’s actual problems: Creating a wider prosperity; building an infrastructure that works; forging a coherent, sophisticated health insurance policy; fostering a truly effective system for education and training; and devising serious policies on climate and energy(this year every farmer has suffered).
