Rapper Flex D’Paper Announces Dates For Album Release
Kampala Boy album is Flex D’Paper’s debut album ever since he released his first solo project in 2010.
It’s safe to safe the album is finally here and the official release date is on December 10th 2021.
In 2016, Flex released a mixtape titled Not For Sale which featured top artists like Apass, Navio, Levixone, Bigtril, Martha Smallz and more.
Why the long wait? The rapper replied that the long wait for his first solo studio album, Kampala Boy is worth
it.
“This project is my battle cry for Ugandan Hip Hop to get noticed out
there ” he further commented.
Most genres are a bit more popular than Hip Hop here in Uganda and yet there is a lot of
talent in Ugandan Hip Hop.
This album is also more sonically and topically diverse than Flex’s 2017 release according to music critics.
This diverse-sound album features artists Fik Fameica, A pass, Navio, Keko, Shena Skies, Kemishan with production from Aethan Music, Mio Made,
music heavy weight producer Nessim, Sam Lamara among others.
Expect soundtracks for the youth, love sounds, Afro Beat low key energy vibes
to the typical Flex D’Paper trappish Hip Hop sound. Dancehall and ragga
elements are on this one as well on tracks with Apass and Kemishan.
Songs were recorded at Icon Studios and mix and mastered from Europe and
Uganda at Konkrete.
The album has global superstar Swae Lee on a skit emphasizing that Flex is the
Kampala Boy.
Flex D’Paper is known for his unproblematic and easy going personality and
lifestyle, and that can be seen from the line up of collabos he has on this project.
Flex says we should expect a grown version of him.
The sounds and topics are mature and as well as his vocal strength.
The number of songs top expect, he says it’s a mystery for the listeners to find
out.
The album took me longer than expected as and Covid only made it worse.
However, We Give Thanks to God that we finally here. Asked about the Album title Kampala Boy, he said that it’s where hewas born and raised.
“Ive been in this city my entire life, I know the ins and outs and have experienced joy and pain in this city.
It built and shaped me to the man I am, this album is a representation of that.
I’m a product of my environment and that will be noticed on the album the Not For Sale mixtape” .

mention just but a few. The sound is diverse.
The production includes Flex’s long time producer, Aethan Music, Mio Made,
