Premier Distillers Limited (PDL), one of Uganda’s leading alcoholic beverage manufacturers, marked its 25th anniversary with a vibrant celebration held in Kagoma, Kawanda.
The event was part of the company’s nationwide “Bikole Masavu” campaign, a consumer rewards initiative aimed at thanking loyal customers and reinforcing PDL’s commitment to quality and community.

Established in 2000, Premier Distillers has grown from its humble beginnings in Kagoma into a powerhouse in Uganda’s spirits industry.
The company’s state-of-the-art bottling and packaging facility, located in Kawanda, has been central to its success, producing popular brands like Simba Gin and Coffee-Flavored Vodka.

During the event, Godfrey Seruta, Head of Sales at PDL, emphasized the company’s dedication to quality and consumer safety.
He raised concerns about the growing threat of counterfeit alcohol, particularly in rural areas, and called on authorities to intensify efforts to eliminate illicit products from the market.
“We’ve worked hard to build a trusted brand over 25 years,It’s time to protect our consumers and our industry from harmful imitation,”
As part of the Bikole Masavu campaign, PDL awarded over 500 million Ugandan shillings in prizes to customers across the country. In Kagoma, the atmosphere was electric as winners received motorcycles, tuk-tuks, smartphones, TVs, and cash prizes.

One of the standout moments came when Peter Kasaga, a local resident, was the grand prize winner of 50 millions.
Overwhelmed with joy, Kasaga shared how the prize would transform his livelihood. “This is more than a gift — it’s a new beginning,” he said
The Kagoma celebration was not just a look back at 25 years of success, but a bold step forward. PDL reaffirmed its mission to produce safe, high-quality beverages while uplifting communities and advocating for responsible alcohol consumption.
