New Suzuki Hybrid SUV Arrives In Uganda Despite Rising Fuel Prices
With fuel prices soaring in Uganda, many car owners and potential buyers are seeking vehicles that offer quality, good performance, and low maintenance costs.
Suzuki by CFAO has introduced the Hybrid Grand Vitara, an SUV that represents over thirty years of development, following Suzuki’s mission to make urban cross-country vehicles more powerful.
During an event at the Suzuki by CFAO showroom in Kampala, Marketing Manager Isaac Tegule emphasized the importance of this launch, stating, “The Grand Vitara’s return is not just a comeback; it’s a revolution. We’re changing the Ugandan car market by introducing a new hybrid vehicle.”
Isaac also mentioned that Suzuki cars are known for their excellent fuel efficiency, making the Grand Vitara Hybrid an attractive option for those looking to save on fuel and reduce their environmental impact.
He added, “Our innovative Hybrid technology sets a new standard for eco-friendly driving, aligning perfectly with the environmentally conscious values of our audience. By embracing hybrid vehicles like the Grand Vitara, we collectively take a significant step towards a greener future, reducing emissions and conserving our environment for generations to come.”
A hybrid car combines a traditional engine with an electric motor and a small battery, which charges through regenerative braking and the internal engine. This setup enhances fuel efficiency and reduces emissions, making the Grand Vitara a more eco-friendly choice.
The Grand Vitara offers a versatile driving experience, from daily commutes to weekend trips, and includes features like the ALL GRIP Select system, a four-wheel-drive system for various road conditions.
The car features a 9-inch HD Display Audio with smartphone integration for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also includes a 360 View Camera, Head-Up Display, and Wireless Charger, showcasing Suzuki’s commitment to advanced technology.
Safety is a top priority, with features such as the Electronic Stability Programme, Total Effective Control Technology, Hill Hold Control, airbags, ISOFIX, and Side-impact door beams.
The all-new Grand Vitara symbolizes innovation and a commitment to a greener future. It’s expected to set a new standard in the Ugandan market and offer an enduring legacy.
Following new tax amendments effective from July 1, 2023, that exempted electric and hybrid vehicles from import duty, the Suzuki Grand Vitara is now more affordable at $33,000 or approximately UGX 125 million. Customers can choose to pay upfront or through financing.
CFAO Motors provides two years of free service up to 50,000 km, a 5-year/100,000 km warranty on the Hybrid battery components, and genuine parts and expert care, ensuring reliability and peace of mind for Grand Vitara owners.
