Frank Tumwebaze advises LC5s, Mayors, CAOs & RDCs on disease control

The Minister of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) Hon. Frank Tumwebaze has called on Local Council 5 chairpersons, Chief Administrative Officers and Resident District Commissioners to form district production disease surveillance and control task forces.

The minister said task forces can work with extension staff in their localities and  this will help in disease control across the country.

The minister made the appeal through a tweet shared on his social media platforms.

“I appeal to all LC 5s,  Mayors, CAOs  and RDCs of Local governments to form district production disease surveillance & controll task forces to work with extension staff in their localities in the fight against diseases & pests. Advocacy is key,” Hon. Frank Tumwebaze shared.

The Minister said Permanent Secretary (PS) of Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) will issue circulars to this effect.
