National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has interconnected the new Katosi system to Mukono, Nabuti, Mbalala, Kayunga road, Nazigo and the surrounding areas.
The new Katosi has also connected Kyaliwajala, Namugongo, Jjanda, Mbalwa, Nabusugwe, Bulindo, Nsasa, Mulawa, Kira, Butenga, Kiyinda, Kito and the surrounding areas.
Management of NWSC is monitoring the progress of the intervention as system tests continue.
Works are underway to connect more water stressed area to the new Katosi-Kampala pipeline.
The connection comes as good news to areas of Wakiso and Mukono whose water supply hasn’t been stable.
