Nabilah Naggayi Sempala highlights some of her achievements

Kampal woman MP Nabilah Naggayi Sempala has highlighted some of her achievements as the MP for the district. She posted some of them on her Facebook page today.

Here is what she posted; Youth in Action programs have really been a cornerstone of my work during this term of office as MP of Kampala. Right from skills training, sports, student leadership and Youth in trades like Welding, carpentry plus production. The work I’ve done has resulted into the following organizations;

  1. FDC Students Union (Political)
  2. Mental and Reproductive Health Uganda (MHRU) (Health, behavior Change)
  3. Working Youth Uganda (Production, environment i.e. converting waste into charcoal among other projects

“I’m delighted to have engaged in this wonderful project area to see first-hand the impact which is being made in the Youth community of Kampala. My office has been supporting a number of brilliant youth projects since it began and I’m encouraged that this work is changing young people’s lives for the better and having a wider impact on the local community.” [adrotate banner=”3″]

Mental and Reproductive Health Uganda is a pilot project now registered as CBO based at Dewinton Road, contact: Moses Okwera( tel; 0782941747) delivered one day a week as arranged. Our Team Leaders Gerald Mujuni, Nakidde Florence, Mayemba Herbert, Akello Rebecca, Akello Immaculate and Muhindo William, Kyaligonza David and Deo Lukyamuzi make home visits and teach life saving education areas working with the individual with the aim of creating behaviour change and referrals.

Through regular sessions conducted in their parishes, we help to identify barriers and ways to break them down enabling addicts of substance ubuse to move forward with their lives. Teenage pregnancy, sex-education and counseling are also an integral part of our outreach services.
