Uganda confirms 15 new cases of COVID-19

The Ministry of Health has recorded 15 new cases of COVID-19, a disease caused by Coronavirus.

Results from samples tested on 26 June 2020 confirm 15 new COVID-19 cases. Total confirmed cases in Uganda are now at 848.


The 15 cases are: 3 truck drivers from Mirama Hills, Malaba and Elegu Points of Entry, 12 are among contacts and alerts: 10 from Tororo who were under quarantine, 1 from Luwero,1 from Amuru.

In related news, 13 truck drivers were handed over to their respective countries of origin

Total Recoveries in Uganda are now 780.

Samples from Points of Entry tested today: 1,672

Samples from alerts and contacts: 1,196

Total samples tested yesterday: 2,868
