As the sun set on Monday, December 31, 2018, revellers flocked the Sheraton Kampala Gardens in Kampala for the 10th edition of the now popular UG Mix Dance Party to usher in the New Year.
The event, organised by Balaam Events and sponsored by Uganda Waragi has stamped itself into the annual party calendar since inception in 2011.
As is the norm, the transition from 2018 to 2019 was celebrated in high gear with energetic performances from Uganda’s favouriteartistes that include Chozen Becky, Fefe Busi, Sheebah Karungi, Spice Diana and Bebe Cool.
Maddox Sematimba was evidently the crowd favourite as revellers sang and cheered along to all his songs word for word.
Kiboko singer, Jose Chameleone stepped onto the stage a few minutes to midnight, and the 11-minute beautiful fireworks display lit up the sky amidst his 25-minute performance were then seen capturing the magical moment on their gadgets and cheering on at the highly anticipated arrival of a new, promising year.
