The once Kampala’s most famous event on social scene ‘The Royal Ascot Goat Races’ which was held at the Speke Resort Munyonyo on the shores of Lake Victoria, was an annual Kampala tradition event since 1993 before it was put off years back in 2011.
Rumour coming in is that The Royal Ascot Goat Races might be brought back to Kampala Uganda at Speke Resort Munyonyo on 25th August 2018.
Ruparelia Group boss, Rajiv Rupaleria confirmed to this website that the races were still be organised by the Ruparelia Group of companies.
The Races were last Hard in Kampala 2011 -2012 organised and Financed by former Crane Bank.
Take it or leave, it was always a memorable Event on Kampala’s social scene calendar and will no doubt claim its name back.
