Geraldine Ssali speaks out on gunshots at her home

Outgoing National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Deputy Managing Director, Mrs Geraldine Ssali Busuulwa, has spoken out about the gunshots that rocked her home in Lubowa last week.

Ssali whose contract with the Fund ends today was controversially not renewed by the Minister of Finance, Matia Kasaija which raised questions about the refusal to renew her contract and yet her performance was excellent.

Geraldine is leaving the Fund today.

Speaking about reports on some sections of the media that there was assassination attempt on her life last week, Ssali told this website the reports are not true.

“I didn’t hear the shots but the Security Company, Pinnacle that provides me with security services negligently discharged fire arms,” Ssali said. “So there was no attempt to end my life,” she said.
