Today morning, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni commissioned Dokolo water supply system. The 180,000litres production capacity per day system will serves over 10,000 people with initial design capacity to serve a population of 39,861 people by 2035.

The system was constructed by Ministry of Water and Environment and handed over to National Water and Sewerage Corporation for efficient management.

System Components:-
* 180,000 litres production capacity per day
*500,000litres capacity reservoir at an elevation of 15m above ground level was erected and a Dosatron chlorination unit installed for water disinfection.


* 20kms of network mains
* 3 pumping station 1. Akaidebe and 2 pumping stations at Alokire* A 104m2 floor area office building fully complete and fenced (NWSC Office).

The president later presided over International Women’s Day celebrations in the same district.
