The prime suspects in the murder of Kenneth Akena at Lugogo Mall will today finally appear in court.
Police spokesperson Andrew Kaweesi over the weekend said that the suspects in the shooting will today Monday 21st November 2016 be paraded in court and charged accordingly.
“We will produce them in court next week. If courts sat on weekends, we would have charged them already,” said Kaweesi. On November 12, Mathew Kanyamunyu and his girlfriend Cynthia Munwangari were arrested on allegations that they shot dead a one Kenneth Akena after he accidentally knocked their car.
Upon being grilled by police, Mathew and her girlfriend revealed that they didn’t shoot Akena claiming that they were good Samaritans that took him to the hospital.
