Kira Young Foundation (KYF) CEO and philanthropist Hon. Lukwago Jimmy aka Kira Young has come to the rescue of residents of Kira Municipality who were affected by the devastating heavy downpour in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Lukwago yesterday visited the affected communities with his team, consoling families whose homes and property were destroyed and donating essential relief items including maize flour, soda, water and other foodstuffs.
He called upon government through the Ministry of Relief and Disaster Preparedness to urgently intervene to support the affected families in Najjera, Kyaliwajjala and other areas in the Municipality.
