Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) CEO Ms Juliana Kagwa has given her insight on the recently concluded Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) 2026 held at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
She said while Uganda’s beauty is breathtaking, she continues to believe that our greatest attraction remains our people. The warmth, humour, resilience and hospitality of Ugandans are experiences no brochure or campaign can fully capture. They must be experienced.
“May the momentum and belief we established at Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) 2026 give every Ugandan the impetus to innovate, collaborate and express themselves as only Ugandans can do. At Uganda Tourism Board, we are more convicted than ever that a new day dawns for our sector. Its now or never. It’s time to convert the great engagements we had last week with international and domestic players, into bankable, commercial propositions,” Juliana Kagwa said.
