National Resistance Movement (NRM) senior cadre in Kiryandongo District, Hon. Likambo Bahti Taylor, has called on the government to award Bweyale Town Council a Municipality status.

Voicing his concern, Likambo said Kiryandongo District gave President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni 78.78% of votes in the just concluded Presidential elections and that he should reward them with the municipal status.

Likambo, a serious NRM mobilizer in the district has appealed to the President to at least offer a municipal status to the people as a thanks for the votes, adding that this will add value to Bweyale and create job opportunities for the youth preventing them from criminal activities.
