Kadongo kamu singer and politician Mathias Walukagga has assured fans of the October concert claiming that he has never taken a musical break despite joining politics.
In Uganda, musicians and entertainers actually usually join politics and some get lucky and win. Most of them once they win they ignore music and focus on working for the people that sent them into parliament or the position they are in.
For Walukagga, he is a councillor and ever since he won, he hasn’t released any new music. He has appeared on different concerts to perform but not like he used to do sometime back.
According to the singer, not releasing music doesn’t meant that someone has taken a break from the industry.
He said that he has everlasting music and that is why he is going to do a concert for his fans and show them he is still around.
“I have never taken a musical break; I am still an active artist. I even held a successful concert in Namasuba last year, and I will have another concert in October.- Walukaga Mathias
