Support Women in Climate Change Action says Rachel Kakungulu

The Co- Founder & Director at Green Africa Conservation Initiative, Ms Rachel Kakungulu Kirama who doubles as environmentalist has said women provide environmental Stewardship to at least 36% of the world’s natural forests, bio diversity and fragile Eco systems.

She went to say women strengthen resilience to Climate shocks by harnessing the power of children and young people as environmental Stewards and change agents in communities while providing Climate resilience services to allow them to survive.

“They make valuable contributions to global climate mitigation and adaptation goals through customary sustainable use of natural resources and traditional knowledge. This is why we must champion the advancement of Gender Equality and Women empowerment in Climate Change Action. Happy Women’s Day,” Rachel Kakungulu Kirama said.
