Thousands of believers are gathering to commemorate the Bishop Hannington Memorial Day in Kyando, Mayuge District in Eastern Uganda over the weekend.
The 1st Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Affairs Rt Hon Rebecca Alitwaala Kadaga presided over the celebrations as the chief guest.
The archbishop of the church of Uganda, Bishop Steven Kazimba Mugalu, and other religious leaders from the church accompanied him.
Miss Tourism Busoga Queen Tenwa Mercy, together with other Queens from all the 11 chiefdoms were also present with their chiefs led by the host Chief Luuba Geoffrey Mukajanja.
