“I am not interested in politics but only music and fighting for our country music copyrights” – Mpiima Johnson

Mukono based singer Mpiima Johnson commonly known for music production and contents creation has revealed that  he is not interested in politics but focusing on his music career and supporting the music copyright law act.

Following his tweet  ‘’politics is a dirty game, it has taken several lives especially on the side of the opposition, in 2021 elections many lives were lost now it’s our music collapsing turn, let’s focus on growing our music industry and fighting for our music copyright law releasing’.
The singer advised fellow country musicians to focus on their music growth and leave divisions and politics aside.
“We are not earning from politics so i don’t see why we should get involved, let us go slow on that game,” he added.
His call comes as several singers are divided over support of copyright law and the new Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) led by singers Eddy Kenzo and Sheebah Karungi.
