Businessman and politician Hon. Lukwago Jimmy, popularly known as Kira Young, has been hailed by residents of Kira Municipality for staying close to the people despite his political disappointment with the National Unity Platform (NUP).
Residents who spoke to this website praised Lukwago for remaining loyal and committed to Kira Municipality even after being denied the party flag for the MP seat.
Through his charity organization, the Kira Young Foundation (KYF), Lukwago has continued to support schools, churches, mosques, youth groups, and various community development projects. He has remained visible at almost all community events, maintaining the same energy he had during his political campaign.
The real estate mogul, now one of the most successful businessmen in Kira Municipality, has thanked residents for their continued support and love.
Lukwago, who had been widely tipped to win the Kira Municipality MP seat in the upcoming elections, was controversially denied the NUP ticket.
In a show of loyalty, he chose not to run as an independent and respected his party’s decision.
He has since described the political setback as a blessing in disguise, as it has allowed him to fully focus on his booming real estate business.
