HiPipo Music Uganda has described the death of Afrigo Band founding member and Ugandan music legend Moses Matovu as a blow to the music world.
Innocent Kawooya, the CEO HiPipo Music said his immense contribution to Uganda’s music and cultural heritage will forever be remembered.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Moses Matovu, founder and legendary musician of Afrigo Band. His immense contribution to Uganda’s music and cultural heritage will forever be remembered. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, Afrigo Band, friends, colleagues and the entire music fraternity during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” Innocent Kawooya said.
Moses Matovu died today morning at Kibuli Hospital after a scuffle over a woman in Kibuli after he dropped his alleged girlfriend Rose Tumusiime after a night out around the same suburbs. Police has since taken Rose Tumusiime into custody to help with investigation. Her jilted lover is yet to be arrested.
