

2026 Updates: Media personality Johnson Musinguzi eyes Sheema South MP seat
Senior media personality Mr. Johnson Byarabaha Musinguzi has joined the race for the 12th Parliament come 2026.
While attending the Thanksgiving Ceremony of Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa and his dad Daudi Bangirana at St. Karoli Lwanga Kigarama Catholic Parish Bitereko, Ruhinda North in Mitooma District over the weekend, Johnson Musinguzi officially announced his intentions to contest for Sheema South MP seat in Sheema District in the forthcoming general elections.
Johnson has been instrumental in issues to do with development in Sheema District and is a senior member of leadership of Sheema Development Association (SDA).

Once he is given the mandate in 2026, he has set the key areas he wants to work on and these are;
Lobbying for renovation/upgrade of various government facilities in Sheema South.
Lobbying for jobs for the youth and they have already set up a job centre to connect thousands of jobless youth.

He shall lobby government to set up additional skilling centres to train youth and retrain those already in employment or jobless.
He shall support all government projects with better supervision and quick completion.
He also wants to see effective leadership with service delivery oriented.
