Kireka tycoon Hajji Norman Semwanga Kaboggoza has vowed to take over Mayor for Kira Municipality after his announcing his intentions to contest in 2026.
The Kireka born and raised is a sportsman who owns a football club called Kireka United FC playing in Uganda 3rd league tier.
The husband of 2 and father of 8 also doubles as the Chairperson of Muslims in Kira Municipality and an advisor of the Super Supreme Mufti Sheikh Muhammad Galabuzi of Kibuli.
Although he contested in 2021 and did not go through, Kaboggoza now sees himself as the hope for Kira Municipality.
Norman who subscribes to National Unity Platform (NUP) wants to dethrone current Mayor Mutebi. He wants to see improved service in one of Uganda’s fastest growing Municipalities.
