Muyanja Mbabaali is a Ugandan politician/businessman born in Masaka in October 1953. He represented the people of Bukoto South in Parliament in 2011-12 which is now in Lwengo district. He is married. He speaks Luganda, English and Swahili. He attended Kikungwe Primary school in Masaka in late 60s then Mengo SS for his O’Level from 1971-74. In 1998, he did a diploma in business management at Datapo Business Institute. He also attended a diploma in accountancy at APAS and then later he joined Nkumba University where he did a bachelors degree in Social Sciences in Public Administration and Management. He got a second class with honours (Upper Division at Nkumba University. Mbabaali was recognised with the certificate after he passed University Mature Age Entry Scheme Examination of Makerere University.
He joined active politics in 1995 and stood for Member of Parliament In 2011 for Bukoto South constituency in Lwengo district. He won and lost his seat after his academic papers were challenged. However, in January 2014, Director of Public Prosecution and Criminal Investigation Department dropped charges of criminal on alleged forgery and utterance of false academic documents. He was cleaned and is free to participate in general election in 2016.
Government Working Experience
In February 1997-98, he was the chairman Uganda Rwanda joint committee for Trade and Investment under Uganda National Chamber of Commerce.
In 1998-2004, he was Director, Chairman Finance and Procurement National Medical Stores under the Ministry of Health.
In 2007-2011, he was Director, Chairman of Finance and Procurement Uganda Air Cargo under the Ministry of Defence.
In 2009, he was the Vice chairman of Electricity Tariff Review Committee for Umeme. From 2010- to date, he is the chairman NRM Lwengo District.
He has wide and extensive engagement in corporate business work involving local and international relations.
Mbabaali engaged in the development process of Uganda through private and public sector partnerships. He participated and attended several international conferences and seminars on social, economic and political development. 1982-87 Chairman and founder of INTREPCO Ltd in Uganda, Service Company. Represented several international companies worldwide and won big contracts.
1983- 87 Agent East German (GDR) in Uganda in charge of Barter Trade between Uganda government and East German. Huge volumes of goods were bartered contracts.
1987 to date, Chairman and founder of former 3M Corporation and MFK Corporation involved in property development and farming on large scale, and majoring in industrial chemicals.

His Excellency the President of the Republic Of Uganda appointed him the Minister of State for Investment in 2011.
