#WorldToiletDay, celebrated on 19th November, is about taking action to ensure that everyone has a safe toilet by 2030. 🚽
What is NWSC Doing?
In Uganda, the Government of Uganda through NWSC is constructing the largest sewage treatment plant in East Africa and Central. The plant when completed will improve sanitation of over 850,000 city dwellers in Kampala. (With design capacity for expansion).
Lubigi sewage treatment plant is now fully functional, improving sanitation and health in various communities in Kampala.

NWSC is piloting compact sewage treatment plants in Fort Portal,Kisoro and other areas with an aim of improving sanitation and health in NWSC areas of operation.
Under the NWSC CSR program, NWSC has constructed a number of public toilets to promote sanitation and health in the various communities it serves.
