UNRA Releases 2015 Road, Bridge Projects
Uganda National Roads Authority wishes all road users a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Motorists are advised to drive carefully and obey all safety measures on our roads. Road Project
New roads under upgrade to tarmac
1 Fort Portal – Bundibugyo-Lamia
(Funded by AfDB/GOU) 103 100% complete in March 2014. Under defects liability period for one year (contractor still on site to monitor any defects) (Chonqing International Construction Corporation)
2 Mbarara – Kikagati – Murongo Bridge
(Funded by GOU) 75 100% complete in June 2014. Under defects liability period for one year (Contractor still on site to monitor any defects)(China Communications Construction Company)
3 Hoima-Kaiso-Tonya road (Funded by GOU) 92 100% complete in December 2014. Under defects liability period for one year (Contractor still on site to monitor any defects)(Kolin Construction)

17 Mukono-Kyetume-Katosi/Kisoga-Nyenga (Funded by GOU)* 74 10% of works completed. Project has now stopped and is a subject of an investigation. The road is currently under maintenance by UNRA.

22 Kampala (Busega)-Masaka
(Phase ll) Funded by GOU 51 96% of works completed. The project will be completed in January 2015(Reynolds Construction Company)
23 Mbale- Soroti
(Funded by GOU) 104 95% of the works done. Mbale-Soroti will be handed overat the end of December 2014.(Dott Service)
24 Kawempe-Luwero-Kafu (Overlay) (Funded by GOU) 166 95% of the works done and the road will be completed April 2015(EnergoProjekt)

34 Kilembe bridge on Kasese-Kilembe road – 100% completed in May 2014. Under defects liability period for one year (contractor still on site to monitor any defects)
35 Nalubale Bridge at Jinja(Rehabilitation) 100% complete in May 2014. Under defects liability period for one year (contractor still on site to monitor any defects)
36 Daca,Ure,Eventre and Uzurugo on Wandi – 100% complete in June 2014. Under defects liability period for one year (contractor still on site to monitor any defects)
37 Ayugi and Ire Bridges on Atiak-Moyo-Afoji road – 100% complete in November 2014. Under defects liability period for one year (contractor still on site to monitor any defects)
38 2nd Nile Bridge at Jinja 6 Under Construction. The works will include construction of 6km access roads. 10% 0f works done.
39 Apak Bridge – Under Construction. 15% works done
40 Birara Bridge – Under Construction. 50% works done
41 Mitaano and Ntungwe bridges in Kanunugu – Under mobilization stage
42 Pakwala,Nyacyara, Goli and Nyagak-3 bridges in Nebbi – Under construction. 60% works done
43 Kyanzuki-Kasese-Kilembe road – Under Construction. 50% works done
44 Cido bridge on Nebbi-Goli, Nebbi district – Under Construction, commenced in October 2014
45 Leresi (Butaleja) bridge on ButalejaLeresi-Budaka road – Under Construction, commenced in October 2014
